Lena Sheridan is an artist, teacher and musician who lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. She works in a range of mediums, including drawing, photography, and oil painting - but is continually pulled back to drawing as a central interest.
Lena completed her Visual Arts study in 2015. Having previously studied linguistics and philosophy at Melbourne University, she continues to investigate themes of loneliness versus connectedness, transformation, and the workings of the psyche. She is interested in understanding the human form through synaesthesia and visual empathy. Her creative process often comes about through meditative practice, resulting in images that are poetic and surreal.
Lena has held a number of solo and group exhibitions around Melbourne. Her music and animations have featured in Melbourne Fringe and Gertrude Street Projection Festivals, and she has released two albums under the moniker Lena C Eros.
